Savannah
Peoria, Illinois

Savannah came to the Wild Birds Unlimited store in Peoria, Illinois in November of 2000. She was 3 year old who was left outside by her previous owners. She had many litters of kittens and lived on a busy street. One day the store owners' daughter asked if she could have the cat. Since she already had 3 cats of her own, she brought Savannah to the store where the owners and the customers fell in love with her. Savannah has received Christmas cards, toys, and snacks in her short time in the store. She can usually be found resting on the counter where she can be petted by customers, watching a bird video, or napping on the 20-pound bags of birdseed in the front of the store (especially in the afternoon when the sun is streaming in the windows). Story and pictures sent in by Deb & Jim Parrott of Peoria, Illinois.
