Peaches

Peaches came to Pony Express,
a post office, when she was a mere 1 week old. She was nursed on kitten formula
and did well. She turned 2 years old in May 1998. Her main duties are to entertain
the customers, knock things off the counter, and put an occasional tooth mark
in the letters that come through. Most of the time she stays in her basket
on top of the soda machine, but she also has a 30-foot leash so she can walk
around the back yard by herself. She's very nice and likes to be petted, but
doesn't purr very often. We witnessed this event after she'd been licking
up catnip from the counter.
