Zola works for Iliad Books In North Hollywood, California. She has taken over from Torquemada and Helga, who decided they don't want to commute. Zola is a two-year old tortoise-shell female who was rescued from an abusive/neglectful situation in which she was kept in a tiny wire-mesh hamster cage and received no medical attention. Due to untreated infections she lost one eye and some teeth, but she's now been cared for (she was rescued by a writer friend of ours, Christa Faust), and she's a wonderfully sweet-natured and friendly little girl!
