Oscar Wilde
Portland, Oregon
Oscar Wilde and her (yes,
HER) mother have lived at Annie Bloom's books since Oscar was a kitten. Her
mother, Jazz, preferred the cafe next door, and was eventually adopted by
the owner there. Oscar stayed behind. She got her name because she is so wild.
When we got there, however, she was dozing in the sunshine in the front window.
It took a bit of coaxing, but she soon got out from under the rocking chair
she was sleeping under and ran around the store a bit (trying to hide from
our camera!) Finally, she climbed up on the counter and onto her favorite
resting spot, the computer monitor. She can look out the window, toast her
behind, and hinder the humans by hanging her tail in front of the monitor
all at once.
