"Before I begin I would like to state that I never had nor thought I would get a cat and enjoy it. I own a corporate gift service business which contains a lot of food items. Last winter a field mouse was spotted running across the floor. Needless to say, as much as I love Dakota (my dog), he is no hunter. Since then I contemplated getting a cat but didn't know what it entailed. To my surprise a friend of mine who works in an ocean survival company was getting rid of a cat because of Coast Guard regulations. After getting him to the shop it took approximately 3 weeks for Skeeter to warm up to me. Now he has become one of my faithful companions at work (no kills as of yet) .
