Hendrix
Vancouver, British Columbia
Hendrix is one of 3 kitties
at the Penny Farthing Bed & Breakfast in Vancouver, BC. He shares a place
with Frisky and Melody.
He was born in 1993, and has led a very interesting life. The owner's daughter
was driving out of Vancouver to Montreal when the guy in the truck in front
of her threw a tiny black kitten out the window. She swerved and missed the
kitten, then took an hour and a half trying to find him. She put him in the
car and drove across Canada with him. He was left by accident at a campsite
and she was 300 miles away before she noticed his absence. When she got back,
he was sitting in the middle of the campsite waiting for her! Her daughter
left Montreal and left Hendrix with a friend, who left him with another friend.
Two years later the owner came home to the B&B one night to find an Air
Canada box with Hendrix sitting in it, and four kitties, one on each side,
hissing and spitting at him. Eight guests added to his audience. Things have
calmed down a bit since then, and now he's here to stay.
