Yertle
Canby, Oregon
Yertle runs Custom Box Service,
Inc. of Canby, Oregon. She started out by skirting the perimeter of the building
in late 1996, scouting the cat food dishes. Gradually she became braver, and
after about 6 months came into the offices, ate inside, and slept wherever
she could find an interesting spot: file cabinets, printers, boxes, desks
were all quite comfy. Yertle generally sleeps all day in the offices (she
doesn't go into the plant itself), although she will wake up just long enough
to help someone on the computer or adding machine. She is very affectionate
